The indian scarves below are directly brought from our indian partner: Avani Kumar. He founded the association “Alternate Foundation”, which supports craftswomen in India. The raw material was extracted in the regions of Jarkhand and Chattisgarh, Northern India).
Weaving and spinning are done in the Jarkhand region: 75% of weaving is done by men and 25% is done by women. Weaving time: between 1 and 3 days
Spinning is done by women, either undertaking a professional formation or members of Women groups (SHG), who weave in a traditional way.
